Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, Board of Management
The Board of Management has been the governing body of the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority since the Authority was established in 1999. Board members are appointed by the Minister for Environment and are eligible for re-appointment at the end of their term. The members of the Board are appointed according to their experience in areas relevant to the Authority's activities.

The current Board membership is as follows:

Mr Richard S F Simpson
Chairperson
Mr Simpson has over 15 years experience in providing investment banking advice to a range of corporate and government clients in both Australia and internationally. He has worked with investment banks in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Mr Simpson is currently Head of Corporate Finance and a Director of Hatley's Limited.

Mr Ross J Willcock
Deputy Chair

Mr Willcock was elected as the inaugural Mayor of the Town of Cambridge May 1995 until mid 2003. He has extensive experience in commerce and in assisting charitable organisations.

Professor John A Considine
Member
Professor Considine is Emeritus Professor of Horticulture and Viticulture and a Senior Research Fellow in the School fo Plant Biology The University of Western Australia. He is interested in the continued conservation and enhancement of Kings Park and Botanic Garden and other designated lands.

Ms Clare Power
Member

Ms Power is a Director of the Perth Office of Middletons, a national legal firm. Ms Power has over 20 years experience in commercial law, particulalry in tourism and event related areas.

Ms Corrine MacRae
Member

Ms MacRae is a councillor of the Town of Cambridge and is a member of the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Mr Grant Robinson
Member

Mr Robinson is a partner with KPMG with a focus on audit and assurance servies. He has experience with a broad range of industry sectors both listed and non-listed entities as well as Government organisations.

Dr Mandy Burrows
Member

Dr Burrows is a consultant in Veterinary Dermatology and an Adjunct Lecturer at Murdoch University; she is also on the Western Australian Committee for the Australian Open Garden Scheme.

Professor Lyn Beazley
Member

Prof Beazley trained at the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh before transferring to The University of Western Australia in 1976 and building a team researching recovery from neurotrauma. Prof Beazley was appointed Chief Scientist of Western Australia in 2006 and was reappointed in January 2009. She was awarded the Officer of the Order of Australiain January 2009.
