For all new positions advertised, BGPA has agreed to be part of the trial Breach of Standards claim change from ten days to four days from 27 December 2008.
Prior to 27 December 2008 applicants had ten working days from receipt of the official recruitment letter to lodge an appeal on the process using the Public Sector Standard on recruitment, this process has now changed to four working days.
To be part of this trial, BGPA has agreed to undertake the following:
- notify all applicants of the change to the prescribed lodgement period at the time of acknowledgment of applications;
- notify all applicants of the Office of Public Sector Standards Commissioner's feedback line http://www.opssc.wa.gov.au//hrm/breachclaims/fourdaytrial.htm for complaints and concerns about the change of lodgement period;
- offer electronic notification to applicants of the outcome of their application; and
- provide feedback, if requested, within a four day period.
