Bold Park Scenic Walk cycling trial
A six month trial for cyclists using Bold Park Scenic Walk has commenced in which one way, uphill cycling only is permitted.
Scenic Walk, linking Oceanic Drive with Reabold Hill, is a popular trail used by both cyclists and pedestrians. This one way cycling initiative aims to ensure that all user groups have a safe and enjoyable experience during their visit. Temporary signs and line markings are in place to alert visitors to the trial.
Cycling is not permitted on other bushland trails in Bold Park to promote visitor safety and passive recreation experience as well as protection of native biodiversity. Two way cycling on Scenic Drive will continue as for all vehicles during the trial period.
Ongoing engagement with visitors will be maintained as the trial progresses to encourage compliance and monitor the trial’s effectiveness, which will be evaluated in October 2014.
Please contact Bold Park Administration during business hours with any enquiries.
