The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2003 facilitates the disclosure of public interest information by providing protection for those who make disclosures and those who are the subject of disclosures. The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority adheres to this process and makes it freely available to employees and members of the public.

In accordance with this Act, the Authority has a nominated Public Interest Disclosure Officer, who handles enquiries of this nature.
