Free guided walks are now on offer to Bold Park visitors. Celebrating the start of the wildflower season, the walks showcase a stunning array of native plants, wildflowers and animals.
The walks have been held weekly from October 2010 and are led by volunteer guides from the Friends of Bold Park Bushland. They bring to life the park’s fascinating biodiversity and geology, turbulent history and current conservation projects.
The volunteer guides are full of enthusiasm for their new roles. They have recently undergone extensive training by the Friends of Bold Park Bushland, with valuable support from Lotterywest.
Attractions of the wildflower season in Bold Park include native orchids, wattles, kangaroo paws, native wisteria and clematis, one-sided bottlebrushes, coastal honey myrtle and waxes.
Tours begin at 9.00 am from the Tuart carpark (off Perry Lakes Drive) and last for approximately 90 miunutes.
Guided walks scheduled for 2011:
- Thursday 13 January

- Saturday 5 February
