The Kings Park Festival has finished for 2010 but the gardens will continue to show their Spring glory for months to come.
With over 500,000 visitors and 100 events held between 1 September and 10 October, Kings Park was an exciting place to be. During this International Year of Biodiversity, the festival celebrated both 'People and Plants'. What better place and time than the Western Australian Botanic Garden in all its spectacular springtime glory?
Now in its 47th year, the Festival offered a full and exciting month long program including interactive art exhibitions, nature and gardening workshops. Santos Live Sundays provided music and entertainment for the whole family, the fun-filled annual Wild Fairyland Festival delighted thousands and the ever-popular Wildflower Market Place buzzed with atmosphere over the September long weekend.
