The 2009-2010 Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority Annual Report is now available for interested members of the community to download.
The Annual Report was recently tabled in State Parliament and highlights the important work of the Authority’s dedicated staff and volunteers. The report details achievements over the 2009-10 year and outlines the Authority’s objectives for 2010-11.
One of the most notable achievements was the completion of the Kings Park Ceremonial Walk. The addition of two new amazing megafauna sculptures in Synergy Parkland have attracted public attention.
Other highlights include the successful release of two new plant varieties Scaevola aemula ‘Blue Print’ and the kangaroo paw Anigozanthus rufus ‘Kings Park Federation Flame by the Kings Park Plant Development team. New plant species were discovered in the Kimberley by Kings Park scientists Matt and Russell Barrett.
