If you can answer ‘Yes!’ to all the questions below, we think you’ve got what it takes to be a fantastic Rio Tinto Naturescaper.

The Rio Tinto Naturescape Volunteer Challenge

Do you tingle with excitement at the idea of working in the leading environmental education space in Australia? Are you inspired by nature and want to share your passion with others?
Are you willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather? Can you get yourself to and from Kings Park?
Are you willing to attend a brief interview and apply for a Working With Children Check if necessary? Can you keep your sense of humour when you’ve lost your hat, the kids are noisy and it’s starting to rain?
Are you aged 18 or over? Do you want to try it out before you sign up?
Will you participate in a half-day training course, packed with interesting information about the local environment, education, communication and Rio Tinto Naturescape in general? Are you willing to join the Friends of Kings Park to become a Naturescaper? (you’ll be insured and receive all kinds of discounts and benefits)
Will you share your sense of fun and exploration with our visitors, young and old? Do you believe that playing outside teaches children to appreciate nature?
Are you good at giving instructions in a positive way that’s easy to understand? Are you willing to get your hands dirty, climb, dig, explore and have fun?
Will you be a reliable and flexible member of the team? Are you able to commit to at least six months as a Naturescaper, with a minimum of two shifts per month?
Do you want to spend time with children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds? Do you want to be part of the best volunteer program in WA?
