Around six million visitors come to Kings Park and Botanic Garden each year and are struck by the beauty of the gardens, views and parklands. Few consider the enormous amount of work involved in keeping the park looking its very best.
If you would like to join our committed team, we are currently offering six traineeship positions in horticulture, arboriculture and turf management. Applications close 4.00 pm, Friday 23 November.
The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority employs almost 200 full-time, part-time and casual staff and enjoys the devotion of hundreds of generous volunteers.
In addition to being nominated and winning a number of prestigious awards in 2012, several staff members had their personal gardens featured on the television program 'Gardening Australia'.
