The Kings Park Festival has finished for another year. Tell us what you loved about it and win.
Thank you to all our wonderful staff, volunteers and corporate partners for their commitment and contribution to the 2012 Kings Park Festival.
The Festival was a huge success, attracting thousands of visitors from all walks of life with an enormous range of events and activities held during September. This year’s festival was themed 'Wildflowers in Focus', in celebration of Western Australian native flora.
Throughout the month, visitors enjoyed picnics and a variety of entertainment while relaxing in the State Botanic Garden as part of the Santos Live Sundays series. A stellar line up of local and indigenous acts wowed audiences while the Adorable Florable theatre show provided light hearted family fun on the main stage, courtesy of major Festival partner Santos.
The Boodja Gnarning Family Fun Day was a wonderful event full of indigenous dance, didgeridoo and arts and crafts workshops for all to enjoy, with the Festival concluding in grandiose style with the ever popular, Wild Fairyland Festival.
The Wildflowers in Focus photography competition gathered a spectacular collection of entries, with the winning image captured by Chris Tate of Leschenault. You can view the 21 finalist images in our online gallery.
