The Kings Park Bushland Nature Trail is currently closed to all pedestrians for upgrade works to enhance the visitor experience on this 950 metre walking trail.
Once complete, the trail will incorporate some raised sections of steel boardwalk to replace the existing ageing concrete slabs, new concrete paths on other sections suitable for fire vehicle access and new seating and signage.
The works will complement the the stunning mia mia structure and mosaic artwork at the entry to the trail off the Botanic Gardens carpark in Forrest Drive. Completion is expected during August 2010 in time for spring visitors.
