The Plants for the Planet website aims to raise global awareness of the issues of plant extinction and plant species diversity loss. The website hopes to inspire as many people as possible around the world to sign up and show support before the United Nations biodiversity summit in Japan this October. Through the growing list of names on the website, BGCI plan to request a renewal of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation with more ambitious targets for the next 10 years.
