Summer Events Season

This summer, Kings Park and Botanic Garden will feature a great line up of national and international artists and events.

Click to enlargeGeorge Benson kicked off the season, performing under the stars at the Pioneer Women's Memorial on Saturday 6 November. He will be followed by Chicago, America and Peter Frampton, Jimmy Barnes, Blondie, The Pretenders, John Farnham, and Human Nature with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.

In early 2011 the park will host INXS, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Tim Minchin and the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.

The Outdoor Cinema will commence in December and run until March 2011. Gather a group of friends and relax with a picnic in the tranquil Synergy Parkland as the sun sets and the screen light up. This season the cinema will screen a mix of latest release, contemporary, cult and classic movies.

This January, William Shakespeare’s classic story of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ will be performed in the surrounds of the West Australian Botanic Garden. Families will also enjoy the popular Lewis Carroll fantasy ‘Alice in Wonderland’ being performed in the Saw Avenue Amphitheatre.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a smoke and glass free venue. Recording equipment, tables, umbrellas, tents or shelters are not permitted at any of these events. Parking is located along May Drive, Lovekin Drive and Saw Avenue. Please ensure you park safely and legally along the allocated areas.
