If you intend to engage external caterers for your function in Kings Park and Botanic Garden, there are guidelines in place that must be followed to ensure the best outcome for your function. Please refer to the Catering and Alcohol Guidelines below for more information.
You are permitted to bring your own food. Barbecues are free and available to all visitors. They cannot be reserved for exclusive use. The use of portable barbecues requires written permission from the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority and will only be considered for catered functions or for groups of 80 people or more.
Ice from eskies must be emptied onto mulched garden beds. Under no circumstances should ice be emptied on the lawn as it causes damage to the grass.
In the interest of public health and safety, the Authority promotes a smoke and glass free venue.
