Answers

1. Which are the most popular wedding venues?

All of the Botanic Garden venues are popular, especially the Water Garden Pavilion, Rotunda 2, the Wildflower Pavilion and Roe Gardens. These venues cannot be booked during the summer events season, from 1 November to 30 April.

The Fraser Avenue venues are also popular, particularly the Old Tea Pavilion, and Rotunda 1. The grassed areas known as Rifle Range South and Rifle Range North and the Rotary Wishing Well are also popular.

2. Which wedding venue has the best views?

The Fraser Avenue venues all have great views, especially Rotunda 1 and Rotunda 2 with views of the city and Swan River. Roe Gardens also has great views. The Dryandra Lookout has beautiful river views.

3. What is a suitable venue for a small wedding?

The Dryandra Lookout is perfect for very small, intimate weddings. The Water Garden Pavilion, Rotunda 1 and Rotunda 2 are also suitable for small weddings of 30 people or less.

4. Which is the most secluded and private wedding venue?

Roe Gardens and the Dryandra Lookout are the most private venues. Beedawong Meeting Place and the Water Garden Pavilion are also secluded, although they are located in more popular areas.

5. Which venues are suitable for my child’s birthday party?

The Vietnam Memorial Pavilion in Synergy Parkland, the Variety Pavilion in Saw Avenue and the Willong Pavilion, Cork Oak, Marri and Rivergum Gazebos in the Lotterywest Family Area are all very popular for children’s birthday parties.

The Community Shelter in the Ivy Watson Playground (in the Lotterywest Family Area) is suitable for parties with children under 6 years of age. Contact Stickybeaks Cafe about hiring chairs and tables or catering options. This area is not available for parties from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm.
