Kings Park features two theatre shows each summer, including Shakespeare in the Park and a children's theatre production.
During the 2012 summer season, visitors to Kings Park and Botanic Garden were treated to three Shakespearian productions: The Tempest; The Comedy of Errors; and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), while picnicking under the trees in the relaxed surrounds of the Western Australian Botanic Garden. The popular family tale of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was also performed by Prompt Corner in the parkland setting of the Saw Avenue Amphitheatre. The next theatre season will commence in early 2013.
