Click image for Botanic Garden map The roof structure of the original Botanic Garden office building was identified as an important architectural design of the 1960's that should be saved. The unique design of the roof, a hyperbolic paraboloid, enabled the roof to be lifted as a single entity and swung over the trees, supported on three new uprights and relocated to create the Wildflower Pavilion.
The pavilion is spacious and easily accessible, featuring a charming wood-panelled ceiling and very effective acoustics. It is surrounded by the beauty of the Botanic Gardens and is close to the State War Memorial.
This venue is well suited for weddings, social and family functions, community groups, corporate functions and film and photography.
