Making a Booking

Before you make a booking in Kings Park and Botanic Garden please read all the information relevant to your function or event. The steps below have been provided to make sure you have all the information we need when you make a booking.

1. Select the type of function

2. Conditions of Use

Please ensure that you have read the Conditions of Use relevant to your booking and the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority's Regulations 1999. Function organisers are responsible for ensuring all guests, participants and/or contractors abide by the Regulations.

3. Fees and Charges

Hire fees and charges vary according to the venue, type of function and number of guests expected. Please refer to the Fees and Charges section or the relevant Application Pack. All bookings incur a minimal non-refundable fee, and must be paid on application.

4. Choose a Venue

Browse the Venues and Facilities section to view photographs and descriptions of venues in Kings Park and Botanic Garden. It is recommended that you visit the park to ensure the venue suits your needs.

5. Make a Tentative Booking

It is important to ensure your chosen venue is available on the date of your function. Make a tentative booking by telephoning the Bookings Officer between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm Monday to Friday. Tentative bookings are held for ten working days. If your Application Form (from your Application Pack) and payment are not received, or you do not cancel your tentative booking, then your venue may be offered to someone else.

6. Submit your Application Form

Post, fax or email your completed Application Form to the Bookings Officer, together with your payment, within ten working days of making your tentative booking. Please ensure that you have completed all necessary function details.

7. Confirmation

Confirmation of your booking and a receipt will be forwarded to you. Please ensure that you have received your confirmation letter prior to proceeding with any other arrangements.

Your booking is not confirmed until you have received your confirmation letter from Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority. Some bookings require a site meeting and will only be confirmed pending the outcome of your site meeting.
