Making a Booking
Due to the popularity of the education programs in Kings Park and Botanic Garden, it is recommended that you tentatively book an education program at least 1 month prior to your visit.
To check the availability of your preferred program and to make a tentative booking, please contact the Bookings Officer during business hours. Once you have confirmed your tentative booking, please download and complete the form below. Post or fax back to Kings Park and Botanic Garden.
You will be asked to fill in a Student Number Confirmation Form on the day of the excursion. The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority will invoice the school after the excursion.
A letter confirming the day, time and program booked will be sent to your school or organisation once the completed Bookings Form has been received and processed by the Bookings Officer. Teacher's notes and maps for guided programs will be sent out with the letter of confirmation or self-guided packages are available for purchase through the Bookings Officer.
Please note that your booking is not officially confirmed until you have received your confirmation letter.

What to Bring
- Arrival Time. Please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your allocated session.
Appropriate Supervision. Close supervision of students is essential. Kings Park and Botanic Garden staff are not responsible for the supervision or behaviour of your students. It is requested that you pre-arrange for the students to be divided into groups of 5 - 6, with an adult to assist with the supervision of each group.
Name tags. To assist the Education Presenter with the lesson.
Hats, water bottles and suitable closed shoes. We recommend hats and water bottles are used throughout the year (including the cooler winter months). Don't forget the sunscreen.
Waste-Free Lunches. As part of our commitment to conserving the environment, we do not provide rubbish bins in the Botanic Garden and encourage all schools to take their rubbish away to recycle. As part of your commitment to the environment why not encourage your students to bring waste-free lunches. Please encourage all parents to pack a waste-free lunch for their child to bring on the day. Pack your lunches in a covered container or ensure it is kept covered with a tarp or blanket to deter birds or other wildlife.
Box. Large enough to carry activity sheets and any craft the students have created.
Wet weather gear. Applicable to the weather conditions.
Most importantly. Bring a smile!
