Kings Park and Botanic Garden and Bold Park provide the people of Perth with wonderful places to improve physical and mental fitness. Whether doing boxercise, yoga or tai chi, both parks offer tranquil surroundings.
Walking and jogging are extremely popular activities at both parks - why not try a free guided walk?
The playgrounds are great places for kids to get some healthy exercise. See Synergy Parkland, Lotterywest Family Area and Saw Avenue Picnic Area in Kings Park. While there are no playground facilities within Bold Park, the many walking trails are a great place for kids to exercise and learn about nature.
Cycling is a great way to see Perth, with obvious health, environmental and economical benefits. Cycling is permitted along designated cycle paths throughout Kings Park. In the case of Bold Park, bicycles are restricted to bordering paths and Reabold Hill Scenic Drive.
For more targeted fitness, Next Generation Kings Park offers premier facilities, located at the historic Royal King's Park Tennis Club.
