The bees won’t be the only thing buzzing in the Botanic Garden for the popular Everlasting Jazz Picnic. This afternoon of classic and contemporary jazz music brought to you by the Perth Jazz Society is the perfect way to wrap up your long weekend. Musicians 'Be Patient and Bluck', 'Backlash', the 'Allira Wilson Trio', the 'Tan Cohen Quartet' and the 'Bronwynn Sprogowski Quartet' come together to present an unmissable day of jazz. |

Be Patient Howard and Bluck A trio that combines soulful blues, jazz, Latin and funky motown. Sue Bluck on keyboards and vocal, the legendary Bob Patient on organ and vocals, and former Melbourne drummer and vocalist Garry Howard – a great start to the day’s jazz line-up! |

Backlash This amazing Jazz Quintet was formed in 2002 as a vehicle to explore one of the great eras of jazz - the 1960s Blue-Note hard-bop style. It was during this decade that some of the greats recorded ground breaking albums with quintet. This is one of the hottest jazz groups around. |

Allira Wilson Trio Allira Wilson is quickly emerging as one of WA’s great young jazz vocalists. Her musical approach has been described as ‘brave and raw as it is subtle and intricate’. She has performed with many outstanding ensembles, was a special guest at the Ladies of Jazz PJS Concert 2010 and has performed on many occasions at The Ellington Jazz Club. This soulful jazz musician is the real deal. |

Tal Cohen Quartet At the age of 25, pianist, Tal Cohen is one of the most exciting jazz artists in Australia. He will bring to the Everlasting Jazz program a unique blend of jazz standards, classical and Jewish folk music along with a swinging rhythm section and a special guest. |

Bronwynn Sprogowski Quartet As an established jazz artist in Australia, Bronwynn is renowned for her smooth, swinging and sweet vocal style. She was influenced by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn from an early age and impresses her audience with her delightful deliverance of jazz standards. Bronwynn has also performed with many international artists including Frank Foster and James Morrision and performs frequently at, The Ellington, Jazz Fremantle and the Perth Jazz Society. |
