Even the ducks in the Botanic Garden will be dancing to 'Adam Hall' and 'The Velvet Playboys' - the darlings of the new swing generation taking hold in Perth. The 'Metro Swing Band' brings classic favourites from the 30s, 40s and 50s to you for a fabulous afternoon of music. |

This six-piece, classic rhythm and blues band are based in Perth and look to the likes of Ray Charles and James Brown for inspiration. Adam Hall and The Velvet Playboys are a favourite with the young swing crowd in Perth and have performed at countless events, including the - Bunbury International Jazz Festival, Mandurah Festival, George Street Festival and the Hullabaloo Swing Dance Festival. |

Creating classic jazz music from the 30s, 40s and 50s, the Metro Big Band combines swing, blues and soul with some contemporary tunes thrown in the mix. This 17 piece big band recreates the fabulous entertainment of the Motown era. The band consists of musicians from diverse backgrounds which makes it one of the most entertaining and enthusiastic big bands in town. |
