TheatreStart the New Year with a visit to the State’s Botanic Garden to see the production of Much Ado About Nothing. Presented by Shakespeare WA, this hilarious war of the sexes production, which will be set locally in Western Australia at the end of the Second World War, will delight audiences with its mixture of star-lit romance, scheming rogues and the silliness of the home-guard. This fast paced, comedic production is suitable for the whole family and is sure to be a fantastic addition to your summer events calendar.

Dates

Friday 4 January – Saturday 2 February 2013 (except Sundays, not including Sunday 27 January, and Australia Day). No show on Monday 28 January.

Show Times

Gates open at 7.00 pm and show starts at 8.00 pm.

What to Bring

Bring your own picnic hamper and drinks (no glass permitted except for wine bottles). Insect repellent and a warm jumper are highly recommended.

Low deck chairs are recommended. Those who bring high deck chairs will be positioned at the rear of the venue to avoid obstructing sight lines of other audience members.

Food and Drink

Bottled water, tea and coffee are available for purchase.

Picnic hampers are available for pre-purchase. Hampers will be delivered to the venue prior to the performance. Christmas packages (including two tickets and a hamper) are available for purchase until 25 December 2012. For more information visit www.shakespearewa.com/tickets.

This is not a licensed event therefore BYO is permitted. Please be aware of prohibited items listed under 'Not Permitted'.

Not Permitted

No tables or umbrellas, professional cameras, video or recording equipment, glass (wine bottles permitted), tents or sunshelters.

Pets are not permitted at this event, including dogs.

The Western Australian Botanic Garden is a non-smoking venue.

Parking

Please ensure you park safely and legally in the Botanic Garden Carpark, or along Forrest and Lovekin Drives. ACROD Parking is available in Forrest Carpark and along Forrest Drive.
