Kings Park offers a relaxing family location to enjoy New Year’s Eve and celebrate the turning of the year at midnight. The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority promotes a smoke-free, alcohol-free and glass-free venue. A total fire ban is in place for the day, which means that sparklers and portable barbeques are not permitted.
Road closures routinely occur in Kings Park during this event. There will be no parking along Fraser Avenue from 6.00 am on New Year’s Eve. Fraser Avenue is closed to all vehicles from 8.00 pm on New Year’s Eve to 1.00 am, New Year’s Day.
Access to Kings Park during this time is via Saw Avenue from Thomas Street in Subiaco or Poole Avenue from Winthrop Avenue in Crawley (Refer to map).
