The information below is intended to assist with the planning of your visit to Kings Park and contains the information you need to complete the DET Excursion Management Plan.
Arrival Time
Please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your allocated session.
Appropriate Supervision
Close supervision of students is essential. Kings Park and Botanic Garden staff are not responsible for the supervision or behaviour of your students. It is requested that for Kindergarten to Year 2 students you pre-arrange for the students to be divided into groups of 5-6, with an adult to assist with the supervision of each group.

What to Bring

Name tags. To assist the Education Presenter with the lesson.

Hats, water bottles and suitable closed shoes. We recommend hats and water bottles are used throughout the year (including the cooler winter months). Don't forget the sunscreen.

Waste-Free Lunches. As part of our commitment to conserving the environment, we do not provide rubbish bins in the Botanic Garden and encourage all schools to take their rubbish away to recycle. As part of your commitment to the environment why not encourage your students to bring waste-free lunches. Pack your lunches in a covered container to deter birds or other wildlife.
