The 2015 festival program features free fun and learning for kids of all ages.

Youngsters were spellbound by our feature family event, the Fantastic Faraway Festival, presented by Santos on Saturday 12 September. Our much loved Santos Live music events had kids dancing in the aisles, meeting the cheeky Adorable Florables and gazing in wonder at our sky high stiltwalkers!

The biggest day out for schools, the Kulunga Katitjin Festival on 16 September, saw the WA Botanic Garden filled with 2,000 excited students. They spent the day learning about Aboriginal culture, sustainability and the environment from the State’s leading educators and performers.

Brand new for 2015, the Backyard Botanicals Day was held on 19 September in Synergy Parkland. The fun included the 'Spring Olympics', hosted by our Nature Activities Officers, live music and the chance for young green thumbs to learn how to make their garden grow!

If your little ones missed out on some events, there are still festivities to enjoy. Our dressed up trees, the Funky Trunks will continue to party all September, while our anniversary installations The Big Five-O and 50 Year Journey will be standing proud until the end of the year!

Meanwhile, Kings Park’s natural bushland and cultivated gardens will be bursting with spectacular wildflowers until mid-October, so it’s the perfect time for kids to discover the beauty of our State’s flora.
