- Tuart Car Park - Bold Park, Floreat
If you thought spring was just about new life of the animal kind, think again.
As fledglings spread their wings and baby bobtails emerge, have you ever wondered how plants send their offspring into the world? Being rooted to the spot creates its challenges, though plants have adapted to make the most of their lot in life. Outsourcing dispersal duties is the order of the day with wind, water and gravity taking on the role, while local wildlife are willing to pick up the slack in return for the right price.
From wafting gently in the breeze to explosive force, there are a whole host of techniques to seeing the next generation off. To find out more about these intriguing elements of the plant world join the volunteer guides on one of their fascinating free walks.
