Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a place of natural beauty, where people come for peace and relaxation and to learn more about plants and their conservation.

The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority is committed to promoting appreciation, understanding and knowledge of our unique biodiversity and in motivating visitors to join with us in its conservation.

We aim to give visitors to Kings Park and Botanic Garden a better understanding of:

• the importance plants play in the ecosystem

• the role of Kings Park and Botanic Garden in conserving rare and threatened plant species

• sustainable planting practices with hands-on activities

• the relevance of plants in our lives

• the importance of Western Australia's Indigenous and European Heritage.

We achieve this through:

• School Programs - Discover Kings Park Education Service and Teacher Professional Development
  

• Public Programs - Free Guided Walks, Connect with Kings Park Workshops, Discover Holiday Activities for Kids and Interpretation through signage, public art and publications

•  Higher Education - Horticultural Trainees

   

• Training for the Kings Park Guides and Master Gardeners.
