On 25 April 2015, ANZAC Day, it will be one hundred years since the dawn landing of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers at Gallipoli during the First World War. ANZAC Day is a solemn day of remembrance, gratitude and national pride.
To commemorate this event, the Returned & Services League of Australia, Western Australia Branch Incorporated (RSLWA) will be hosting a significant Dawn Service in Kings Park and Botanic Garden from 5:50 am to 7.00 am.
In 2015, there will be four designated areas where you can view the service on large screens. Additional screens will be installed around the venue in 2015. The areas closest to the State War Memorial and an area immediately surrounding the Memorial, will be low-fenced and controlled by security. Once at capacity, the fenced area will be closed off.
Road closures will occur and further information will soon be available via the Notices section.
We encourage patrons to use public transport on this day. Patrons with mobility issues and special requirements should contact the Returned and Services League on (+61 8) 9287 3799.
Further information on the event is available on the RSLWA website.
