Kings Park Guides Training

The Kings Park Guides are volunteers involved in numerous visitor services' duties, including leading guided walks and staffing the Visitor Information Centre. All Kings Park Guides complete the Guides Training Course, held, on average, every two years.

This is a 14 week course for one morning a week and includes:

• background historical/cultural information on Western Australia and Perth

• history of Kings Park and Botanic Garden

• basic botanical information, identification

• guiding and interpretive techniques including practical sessions.
