Due to very high fire danger conditions, Kings Park afternoon guided walks may be cancelled.

Public areas in Kings Park remain open – including the Fraser Avenue precinct, Western Australian Botanic Garden, Synergy Parkland, Lotterywest Family Area and Saw Avenue Picnic Area.

Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park is closed during the month of February for maintenance.

The safety and comfort of visitors is the first priority of the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority and we apologise for any inconvenience.

If you see smoke, please phone 000 immediately.

If you are in doubt about the impact of weather or adverse conditions on your planned visit or on any event in Kings Park or Bold Park, please contact the Customer Service Officer during business hours or the Park Management Officer, available seven days a week between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm.

Use of BBQ's

All barbecues in Kings Park are electric and can therefore still be used during fire danger days. Portable barbecues are not permitted in Kings Park or Bold Park at any time.

Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco and matches

Discarding a burning cigarette, cigar, tobacco or match may cause a fire. Please take extra care to dispose of cigarettes, cigars, tobacco and matches appropriately to help prevent bushfires and littering. Severe penalties apply.
