Road and carpark closures for large, concert events will occur in Kings Park and Botanic Garden from late January until late March 2013 to ensure visitor safety.
Concerts are to be held at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 6 February
- Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 February
- Thursday, 14 and Friday, 15 March and
- Tuesday, 16 April 2013.
The following closures will occur on all concert event days:
- Forrest Drive will be closed at 3.00 pm
- Wadjuk Carpark will be managed by traffic management staff by 3.00 pm. Only confirmed Fraser’s Restaurant and Function Centre guests and Aspects of Kings Park customers will be permitted access after this time, until the carpark is at capacity.
- Forrest Carpark, Eucalyptus Carpark and DNA Tower Carpark will be closed from 7.00 am until approximately 11.00 pm.
The Botanic Garden Carpark will remain closed from Tuesday, 29 January until late March 2013.
Parking along May and Lovekin Drives is available as an alternative option for concert patrons and general visitors. Penalties apply for illegal parking.
