The Bold Park Management Plan 2022 - 2027 has been published by BGPA after a period of extensive public consultation
Declared a Class A reserve in 1998 for its high conservation, landscape and recreation values, Bold Park is one of the largest remaining urban bushland areas in Perth, covering 442 hectares.
The Bold Park Management Plan outlines policies and frameworks for Perth's 'sanctuary by the sea'. The forward thinking plan focuses on four management categories:
- Community Engagement and Participation
- Visitor Experiences
- Science and Environmental Conservation
- Amenity and Infrastructure.
By maintaining its strong focus on conservation activities, education, restoration and scientific research BGPA will continue to conserve and enhance Bold Park Bushland for future generations.
At the launch of the Bold Park Management plan, Environment Minister Reece Whitby said "The vision for Bold Park is to be identified as a world-class urban wilderness, to be enjoyed, studied and managed with the community, for the benefit of all."
