Join us in celebrating the Western Australian Botanic Garden with free guided and self-guided walks, the Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale and more on Botanic Gardens Day on the last Sunday in May.

Established more than 50 years ago, the Western Australian Botanic Garden is not only a place of great beauty with more than 3,000 plant species on display, it is an important scientific institution, helping to conserve rare and endangered WA plant species for future generations.

Botanic Gardens Day is the perfect opportunity to plan a trip to explore the Western Australia Botanic Garden and get involved in one or all of the fantastic events we have on offer.

Free guided walks

Join a free guided walk and learn more about the stunning flora on display or hear more about the stories of Kings park from earlier times. Bookings are not required, walks depart from outside Aspects of Kings Park Gallery Shop.

Self-guided walks

If you prefer to explore the gardens at your own pace, the Botanic Garden Seasonal walks are a great guide. Learn more about odd plants, the many art installations located within the WA Botanic Garden and their meaning, enjoy sweeping treetop views from the Lotterywest Federation Walkway and learn about what Kings Park and Botanic Garden is doing to help conserve and protect rare and endangered species in the Conservation Garden.

Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale
