This free walk celebrates National Eucalypt Day. We will take you through parts of the Botanic Gardens and share with you some of the 400 Western Australian species of Eucalypts, most of which are unique to the State. You will be introduced to their surprising variety of buds, flowers and fruit shapes, growth habits, leaf and bark features, and their varied distribution across the State.

TIME: 9.30 am -11.00 am. (please arrive 10 mins prior to the start)

LOCATION: Roe Gardens Carpark, Forrest Drive, Kings Park

FURTHER INFORMATION:

This walk is up to 1.5 hours in duration and approximately 1km in length.

Moderate degree of difficulty. Some paths are narrow and some are grassed. Alternative routes are available for short sections.

This walk is suitable for wheelchairs, prams or mobility aids. We encourage you to contact the Visitor Information Centre (08 9480 3634) if you have any questions.

Comfortable enclosed walking shoes recommended.

Bring sunscreen, hat and water and a jacket (weather dependent).

This walk will go ahead unless severe weather is forecast, including maximum temperatures of 37 degrees or more. Check the notices section for cancellation information.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATION: This is a free walk. To give walkers the best experience our numbers are limited and booking is required.
