Flora-Based Investigations, Kings Park Education program

Program dates 2020 to be announced - stay tuned for more great programs coming up next year!

Help identify a deplorable florable on the loose in Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park.

Age: This session is suitable for children aged 7 - 12 years.

The Flora-based Investigations team (FBI) are seeking budding nature detectives to help identify a deplorable florable on the loose in Naturescape. In a race against time, your team must find the most notorious members of Naturescape’s big plant families, collect the clues and solve the crime.

This community program is in partnership with the Parks and Wildlife Service's Nearer to Nature series. During the school holidays they provide fun, hands-on activities that bring kids of all ages up close and personal with our wonderful plants and animals in some very special places.

Nearer to Nature’s overall aim is to increase the community’s environmental awareness, knowledge and skills, including the related heritage of Indigenous and European cultures. The best way to do that is by getting out into nature and having fun!

Check out the Nearer to Nature website for more information.
