Bushland conservation techniques

Discuss Western Australian biodiversity and the importance of its conservation. Learn about taxonomy and undertake real-life scientific processes to collect specimens and identify species.

Press a plant specimen to create an herbarium record and learn how to clean and dry seeds for future propagation. Pot up your own native seed to plant at school or home, observe its growth and help support biodiversity in your backyard.

Suitable for extension primary students.
