Travel to and from Subiaco in vintage style with the free ‘hop-on, hop-off’ Ruby Subiaco Tram service operating in Kings Park.

Ruby Tram is a volunteer-driven 1899 tram replica that has connected visitors from Subiaco Train Station to Fraser Avenue since 2018.

The Ruby Subiaco Tram route travels from Subiaco to Kings Park and stops at Fraser Avenue, Wadjuk Carpark just south of Aspects of Kings Park, outside of Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park and in front of Biara Café in Poolgarla Family Area.

Operating hours

Ruby Tram leaves Subiaco Station on the hour between 10 am – 4 pm on Tuesday – Friday and 10 am – 1 pm Saturday. See the Ruby Tram website for details of the route. Routes may be amended due to maintenance works or concert events in Kings Park.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, due to the age of the tram it is not possible to have wheelchair/walking aids on board.

Australia Day 2022

Road closures and service interruptions will occur in Kings Park and Bold Park on Wednesday 26 January 2022.

Naturescape closed February

Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park will be closed from Tuesday, 1 February 2022 until Tuesday, 1 March 2022.

COVID-19

The Premier of Western Australia has announced mask-wearing in public indoor venues and on public transport will be mandatory in Perth and Peel from 6.00pm Sunday 16 January.
