State Reception Centre

Perth's State Reception Centre is located off Fraser Avenue in Kings Park and Botanic Garden, above Fraser's Restaurant. It’s the perfect venue for weddings and corporate events for up to 700 people.

The centre was built in 2011 to accommodate the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Leaders’ Retreat in a high quality function facility overlooking Kings Park, the City of Perth and the Swan River.

There is also a wonderful connection between the new centre and the Commonwealth by the use of recycled wandoo timber for the building’s balcony decking that came from the stadium seating used for the 1962 Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth.

The State Reception Centre in Kings Park provides a venue for community, corporate and government events and is managed as part of the Frasers’ complex, which also includes the Kings Park Kiosk, the Botanical Cafe, the Frasers’ Function Centre and Fraser’s Restaurant.

The facilities include a large function room capable of accommodating up to 700 guests (400 seated), a passenger lift and ramps for access for people with disabilities and toilets for guests. Parking for the facility is at the rear of the building in the Wadjuk Carpark, with overflow parking available on May Drive and Lovekin Drive verges.
