Road closures will take place in Kings Park and Bold Park on Sunday 27 August 2017 due to the annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ run event.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden

Both the half marathon and full marathon will run through Kings Park and Botanic Garden. To allow safe passage for participants competing in the runs, some road closures will be in place from 5.00 am until approximately 11.00 am, Sunday 27 August 2017 on the following roads:

  • Fraser Avenue, May Drive, Forrest Drive, Lovekin Drive and Wadjuk Way (from 5.00 am to 11.00 am)
  • Mounts Bay Road (west bound only from 5.00 am to 9.00 am).
  • Kings Park Road (from 6.00 am to 11.00 am)

The best access to Kings Park during this time is via Poole Avenue and Saw Avenue (refer to visitor map). East bound traffic onto May Drive will be able to access Wadjuk Carpark but vehicles will not be able to leave the carpark until 11.00 am. Traffic management will be in attendance.

Fraser's Restaurant, Botanical Cafe, Aspects of Kings Park gallery shop, The Visitor Information Centre, May Drive Parkland and Zamia Cafe will be open and accessible during the event.

The Lotterywest Family Area will remain open and accessible via Outram Street., with traffic management in attendance. Next Generation Kings Park gym members are encouraged to park in West Perth between 9.00 am and 11.30 am. Parking is free on Sundays.

Bold Park

All carparks in Bold Park including, Reabold Hill and the Western Australian Ecology Centre will be closed to vehicle traffic until approximately 2.00 pm on Sunday 27 August (refer to visitor map).

Oceanic Drive, Perry Lakes Drive, Underwood Avenue and Bold Park Drive surrounding Bold Park will be closed to traffic from 7.00 am to 1.30 pm on Sunday 27 August.

Suburbs surrounding Bold Park will also be impacted by event road closures.
