Road closures will take place in Kings Park and Bold Park on Sunday 26 August 2018 due to the Chevron City to Surf for Activ run event.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden

The following roads will be closed from 5.00 am until approximately 11.00 am, Sunday 26 August 2018 to enable half marathon and full marathon runners to pass through Kings Park and Botanic Garden:

  • Fraser Avenue, May Drive, Forrest Drive, Lovekin Drive and Wadjuk Way (5.00 am - 11.00 am)
  • Mounts Bay Road (west bound only 5.00 am - 9.00 am).
  • Kings Park Road (7.00 am - 11.00 am).

Kings Park can be accessed by car during this time is via Poole Avenue and Saw Avenue (refer to visitor map). East bound traffic onto May Drive will be able to access Wadjuk Carpark but vehicles will not be able to leave the carpark until 11.00 am. Traffic management will be in attendance.

Fraser's Restaurant, Botanical Cafe, Aspects of Kings Park gallery shop, The Kings Park Visitor Information Centre, May Drive Parkland and Zamia Cafe will be open and accessible during the event.

The Lotterywest Family Area will remain open and accessible via Outram Street, with traffic management in attendance.

Next Generation Kings Park gym members are encouraged to park in West Perth between 9.00 am and 11.30 am, where parking is free on Sundays.

Bold Park

All carparks in Bold Park including, Reabold Hill and the Western Australian Ecology Centre will be closed to vehicle traffic until approximately 1.30 pm on Sunday 26 August (refer to visitor map).

Oceanic Drive, Perry Lakes Drive and Stephenson Avenue surrounding Bold Park will be closed to traffic from 7.00 am to 1.30 pm on Sunday 26 August.

Carparks in Bold Park accessible from Perry Lakes Drive and Oceanic Drive will be closed during this time (refer to the Visitor Map).

Suburbs surrounding Bold Park will also be impacted by event road closures.
