Traffic on Fraser Avenue will be affected by the removal of a large tree on Tuesday 20 August.

The tree is located on the western side of Fraser Avenue, close to Fraser’s Restaurant.

Road closures

The north bound lane of Fraser Avenue and Wadjuk Way will be closed to traffic exiting Kings Park from 7.00 am to approximately 5.00 pm between Wadjuk Roundabout and Kattidj Close. Detours via Saw Avenue will be in place during this time for vehicles exiting the park.

There will be some intermittent disruption to the south-bound lane of Fraser Avenue for short periods, with traffic management in operation. Please be courteous to other drivers and follow the directions of traffic attendants.

Access to Kattidj Close from the Kings Park Road entrance is not affected and two way traffic will continue to operate along Fraser Avenue between Kings Park Road and Kattidj Close.

More information

All options to retain this mature lemon-scented gum tree have been considered, however the tree has declined in health and requires complete removal for public safety. The tree will be replaced.

If you are in doubt about the impact of these works on your visit to Kings Park and Botanic Garden, please contact us during business hours.
