Friends of Kings Park Plant Sales

Held 4 times a year, through rain, hail or sunshine, buyers from around Western Australia line up for the Friends of Kings Park plant sales.

Event information

These sales provide opportunities for buyers to build stunning gardens with plants not always available from commercial nurseries.

Plants are all grown by volunteers in the Kings Park nursery, which is accredited under the Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme Australia (NIASA).

Plants are grown in small quantities and are only available at Friends plant sales or sometimes through special online sales. The plants are not for sale at other times during the year, and unfortunately, they are not able to be shipped.

Entry gates will shut a quarter of an hour before the advertised closing time but may close earlier than the advertised time if the plants sell out. The plant sale will go ahead if it is raining, but severe weather warnings may require it to be cancelled.

The proceeds from sales go directly to the Friends of Kings Park, and are put towards supporting research and projects in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Need advice about what to buy? Contact the Friends of Kings Park Horticultural Advice and Support volunteers. They will also be roaming at the plant sale to give advice on the spot.

Please visit the Friends of Kings Park website for more information.
