Event information

As the sky darkens orb-weaver spiders start building their webs while wolf spiders emerge from their underground burrows, their big eyes twinkling brightly in the torchlight. Look up and you may see bats darting above and study tree trunks to see geckos poking out from under pieces of loose bark. With a little luck, you might spot a tawny frogmouth or boobook owl quietly watching you from the trees or a brushtail possum munching on some leaves.

Meet at Tuart Carpark.

Prepare for your walk:

  • Wear sturdy, closed-in shoes and come dressed for the weather with a hat, jacket, sunscreen and drinking water.
  • It is important to bring your own torch so that you can light your path.
  • This walk requires a moderate level of fitness. It is not suitable for wheelchairs and prams.
  • There are no public toilets in Bold Park. Toilets are available at a nearby playground at the southern end of Perry Lakes Reserve.
  • If you are feeling unwell please postpone your visit to a future event.

All guided walks are free.
