Kings Park Education provides teachers with opportunities to broaden their knowledge and be inspired with practical ideas for excursions and classroom learning. Customised professional learning sessions in the Australian Curriculum areas of STEM, Cultural Awareness and Outdoor Learning can be delivered to meet the specific needs of your school.

Learning Outdoors for Happy Kids (NEW)
Learning in, about and for the environment
For 50 years, the Kings Park Education team has been delivering inspiring outdoor learning experiences. Join us to support your school in developing effective nature pedagogy, foster positive connections and build teacher confidence teaching outdoors.
Explore evidence supporting the benefits of outdoor learning for student engagement, wellbeing, academic achievement, and social development. Our team will provide practical frameworks and strategies that align with curriculum outcomes, helping educators plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Teacher Retreat
Nature for Teacher Wellbeing and Learning
This immersive outdoor workshop is a fun and rewarding opportunity to connect with colleagues while sharing a cup of bush tea. Tailored to meet your school’s needs, the day may include survival skills, storytelling, nature journalling, creative exploration, and hands-on conservation activities.
Participants will experience the benefits of learning outdoors firsthand, gaining practical ideas and strategies to take back to the classroom. Teachers leave feeling rejuvenated, connected, and inspired, with enthusiasm for delivering engaging outdoor learning experiences.
Koodjal Kaatitjiny for Teachers (NEW)
Two-way learning in Kaarta Koomba Kings Park
Experience our brand-new Two-way Science program, led by our Aboriginal Education Officer. Through this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants will explore how Noongar people have applied scientific knowledge and innovation for thousands of years. Discover examples of physics, chemistry, aerodynamics, and eco-engineering embedded in traditional Noongar practices, and gain a deeper understanding of the connections between First Nations knowledge systems and contemporary science. Participants will leave with practical insights and inspiration for embedding Aboriginal perspectives and Two-way Science approaches into their teaching.
Cultural Perspectives in Education
Immersive experience at Kaarta Koomba
Develop the knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to confidently and respectfully incorporate Aboriginal cultural education into classroom practice. Learn on Country alongside our Aboriginal Education Officer, gaining insights into Caring for Country, traditional botanical knowledge, sustainability, and the enduring connection of Aboriginal peoples to place.
This workshop can be tailored to your school’s professional learning outcomes.
The workshop is 4 hours and $50.00 per person.

Nature Play for Early Learners (0-5 years)
A fun, informative and hands-on workshop that can be tailored to your needs and may include the following:
- an introduction to nature play theory and why it is so important in the wellbeing and development of children.
- participation in range of nature-based activities that can be adapted for different age groups.
- a forum to share ideas and experiences to increase knowledge of suitable and successful activities.
- practical ideas to bring nature play into daycare and kindergarten settings.
- an increase in confidence to utilise the outdoors with early learners where they can experiment, question, discover, play, and grow.
Most importantly this Professional Learning workshop provides an opportunity for participants to 'be' in nature and experience some of the wonderful benefits for adults too.

All workshops are $50.00 per person for 4 hours.
Bookings are by request for groups of 10 people or more.
