Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a beautiful setting for a family picnic and barbecue, with many ideal locations found throughout the parklands.

Family picnicsAll visitors are welcome to use the free, electric barbecues maintained by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority. Locations include:

On very busy days, these facilities are often in high demand and queuing may be required. Barbecues cannot be reserved for exclusive use, and are available on a first come, first served basis. When a specific area or venue is booked for a group function, this does not include exclusive use of the barbecues. Portable barbecues are not permitted and penalties apply.

To preserve the high standard of the parkland areas, it is encouraged that you take your rubbish with you after each visit. Rubbish bins are located in all barbecue areas, nearby food outlets and in the main visitor precinct near Aspects of Kings Park.
