Moortabiny: Important event information

Moortabiny will take place at the Pioneer Women's Memorial. The main entrance to Moortabiny is the Long Vista, located between the entrance to Forrest Carpark and Lovekin Drive, opposite Forrest Roundabout. View the Western Australian Botanic Garden map. 

We recommend you allow 1.5 hours to take in the lights, sonic stations and food trucks, followed by the spectacular drone show.  

This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the elements by wearing appropriate footwear, clothing and insect repellent if required. The Pioneer Women’s Memorial event site is a sloped venue so we recommend picnic blankets over chairs.   

Yes, there is an option to purchase a grazing box for four people when you purchase your ticket through Ticketmaster. There will also be a range of food and drinks available to purchase. BYO food is allowed.

No, Moortabiny is an alcohol-free event. 

a. Scooters, roller skates, skateboards, push bikes, and any motorised vehicles which are not intended as an accessibility aide. 

b. Glass bottles or breakable containers. 

c. Bags of larger dimensions than 30cm L x 20cm W x 35cm H. All bags are subject to a security inspection/ check on entry. 

d. Animals, including dogs and other pets; excluding guide dogs or other assistance animals. 

e. Illicit drugs/illegal substances 

f. Flares, fireworks or any other explosive device. 

g. Knives or other dangerous weapons, including toy/imitation weapons. 

h. Trolleys  

j. Drink holders on spikes 

k. Bean bags

A Fauna Assessment Report is undertaken as part of the planning process for Moortabiny. All recommendations from this report are incorporated into the event to minimise the impact on fauna. 

Please make sure that you choose the right date when you buy tickets, as we are not able to offer exchanges or refunds after tickets have been purchased.

A family ticket admits 4 people. The family can be comprised of either 1 adult and 3 children or 2 adults and 2 children. Children must be aged 15 years and under to be eligible for the family ticket. Children aged 5 years and under are free of charge.

You must be 18 years or older and present a valid form of concession at the time of purchase and entry. Acceptable forms of concession include: 

• Centrelink issued: Pensioner Concession Card (PCC)* 
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs issued Pensioner Concession Card* 
• Full time secondary or tertiary student cards** 
• Centrelink issued: Health Care Card (HCC)*  
• *Primary cardholder only (not dependents) is entitled to the concession price. 
  ** Does not include Seniors OR International Student cards 

Companion cards are accepted and can be booked through the Ticketmaster Moortabiny page. 

A free bus service will be provided at the end of the event from Wadjuk Carpark bus stop travelling back to Perth Bus Port. The bus service will run from 8.35pm until 9.20pm, operating  on a 5-minute frequency.

For your convenience, bike racks are located in multiple locations around Kings Park and Botanic Garden including:  

• Wadjuk Carpark 
• Poolgarla Carpark 
• Outside Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park on May Drive 

It is recommended that you secure your bicycle with an anti-theft lock and take your valuables with you. 

Yes, holders of a government-issued companion card can access a free ticket for their companion. Proof of eligibility will be required upon entry.
