Wetland and River Ecosystems in the Classroom

Children in the wetlandJoin ‘Ribbons of Blue’ and Kings Park Education in the Water Corporation Wetland for a hands-on session providing resources for your teaching and learning program on concepts related to wetland and river ecosystems.

This workshop includes:

  • Hands-on activities such as water quality testing, invertebrate sampling, a catchment model and stormwater game
  • Classroom lessons and complementary field work
  • Exploring issues of human impact and the sustainability of wetland and river environments.

The workshop will provide teachers with:

  • Resources focusing on sustainability as a cross curricular priority
  • Activities that integrate across strands in both Science and Geography
  • Access to expertise to help with your teaching program.

Cost

All teacher professional learning is free, however bookings are essential.
