Event information

Wilderness Wanderers is returning after the success of term 3!

Nature Educators and Nature Playworkers lead the sessions. They are passionate about allowing freedom of play. The structure of the program allows flexibility to suit the interests of children and provides opportunity for self-directed exploration.

Wilderness Wanderers is an after-school program for primary aged children (aged 6-12 years) where imaginations come to life. Children create their own worlds and characters using the wonderful surrounds of Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park.

Nature Playworkers capture the stories and ideas of the group and co-create mythical characters and games with the children. These stories integrate fascinating discoveries in nature, the abundance of natural loose parts play resources and the children’s imaginations. Quests to find particular elements in nature and to build community are central to Wilderness Wanderers.

Please note, children must have turned six to attend Wilderness Wanderers.
