Animal foods at your house

What bush foods do you think animals eat? Can you see any bush foods outside your house?

Look for fruits and nuts on shrubs or trees. Nectar in flowers or soft chewy green leaves.

What’s hiding under some bark? A tasty grub or maybe a little insect like a slater? Are there flies buzzing around or maybe some pesky mosquitoes?

All these fruits, nuts and insects are a source of healthy food for animals.

Kooyar Motorbike frog Wardong and his family watched the people having picnics in Naturescape. The young Ravens swooped down, tore the packets open and started scoffing at the scraps.
